Fees

All fees stated are inclusive of GST. Given the limited places available and the high demand for these subjects, in order to secure your offer as part of the registration process a one-off $30 registration payment per enrollment is required (payable online upon registration). Following successful enrollment, you will receive more information about how to prepare for this(these) subject(s), including items to bring, parking, uniforms as well as receive a formal invoice for your enrollment for the full year. Once you have received your invoice, you will have the opportunity to pay in full (in cash or credit card), or through a monthly installment via direct debit* (credit card or bank account).

Pathways into dance

For new students aged 4 to 6: SMV's Bala Vihar program, is a two-year program in movement, rhythm and music for children ages 4 - 6, preparing them on their journey to dance and movement.
For new students aged 7+ to adults: SMV's Foundations program (two-year program for children and one year program for adults) is the starting point to learning dance at SMV. It consists of a multidisciplinary versatile syllabus based on yoga and meditation, body alignment, and classical and semi-classical styles including Bharata Natyam, Odissi, and Kathak. The course is taught over at a beginner's level supporting necessary exposure and growth, ultimately producing a dancer with a well-rounded capability for all dance movements.

Enrollment process

Selection of a class per the timetable below and payment of registration fees does not necessarily guarantee that the class will commence as planned, as there is a minimum number of students required to commence the class. If this is the case, we will write to you about this and refund your registration fee.
If you’re unable to find an available/ suitable class from the timetable, then please join our waiting list.
Any students with prior learning in their selected subject will be required to attend an assessment. This helps SMV place you in the right class, however, it does not guarantee placement into a class, which is subject to class availability in the current teaching period.
